Spend a day with a distillery. New Castle Union Station Craft Distillery welcomes you to experience the process of making Craft Spirits by spending a day actually working with our distiller. We offer alternative experiences, Mashing, Distilling, both, or bottling.
Day Mashing
Join our team to experience the process of turning grain into Craft Spirits, with the first stage of the process: mashing. Learn the basics of grain selection, how the type of spirit one wants to produce determines the composition of the mash. Help cook the grains and discover the importance of enzymes in the process of producing fermentable sugars.
Time: approximately 4 hours.

Day as a Distiller
Join our team for the experience of taking fermented mash and turning it into a Craft Spirit. Learn the process of grain-in distillation beginning with the transfering of the mash; slowly heating it to temperature; distinquishing between heads, hearts, and tails; and finally collecting the hearts and proofing down for barreling.
Time: approximately 4 hours

2-day Mash/Distillation
A 2-day experience of the entire process of going from grain to distillate. This will include both mashing and distilling, and will occur over two seperate days, usually about 3 days apart.
